SUMMARY OF RESPONSES
1. Thank you to all who responded to the consultation on draft regulations concerning
training of staff working in licensed premises.
2. The proposals on training for staff were developed with the assistance of the Training
Advisory Group. This group was established by the Scottish Executive to develop proposals
on training based on a national training framework developed by the National Licensing
3. The Training Advisory Group was chaired by Jack Law, Chief Executive of Alcohol
Focus Scotland and comprised representatives from licensed trade associations, Licensing
Boards, and awarding bodies.
